Definition

What is an outdoor fitness installation?

An outdoor fitness installation is a freely accessible outdoor training area – for all generations, all year round, without registration.

The equipment is made of stainless steel, complies with standard SN EN 16630 and is designed for public spaces. Individual items become an installation when selection, layout, safety areas and foundations are planned together.

Fitness park, outdoor gym, outdoor fitness installation – what is the difference?

Hardly any: all three mean a freely accessible stainless steel training area. “Outdoor gym” emphasises strength training as an alternative to the fitness studio.

Ground & foundation

Which ground suits your installation?

The equipment stands on a concrete foundation. Wood chips, sand, grass or rubber tiles are suitable as surfacing.

  • Wood chips or sand: natural and shock-absorbing, must be topped up and loosened regularly.
  • Grass: blends into parks, but can wear away under the equipment with heavy use.
  • Rubber tiles: easy to maintain, slip-resistant and usable all year round.

Which surfacing is right depends on location, use and maintenance. We clarify this during planning and supply the foundation plan.

Frequently asked questions

Answers on planning, quotes and maintenance.

How much space does an outdoor fitness installation need?

That depends on the number of items and their safety areas. We check your location and plan the installation to fit the available space.

Which ground is suitable for outdoor fitness equipment?

The equipment is fixed to a concrete foundation. Wood chips, sand, grass or rubber tiles are suitable as surfacing – depending on location, use and maintenance. We clarify this during planning and supply the foundation plan.

How much does an outdoor fitness installation cost?

The price depends on scope, equipment, foundation and installation. You promptly receive a free quote.

Can we extend the installation later?

Yes. The installations are modular and can be built in stages and extended later.

What is the difference between a fitness park and an outdoor gym?

Both are variants of an outdoor fitness installation. A fitness park is usually aimed at all age groups in the neighbourhood, while an outdoor gym focuses on strength training. The boundaries are fluid.

Is an outdoor gym suitable for beginners?

Yes. The equipment guides the movement, the resistance is adjustable, and exercise instructions via QR code explain the training.
